New from 3 November 2026: labour market integration points

From 3 November 2026 the CRS adds a Labour Market Integration factor worth up to 150 points (140 with an accompanying spouse). You get the higher of two routes, never both: Canadian work experience (the same work-length points, plus 70, 40 or 20 extra points for at least 12 months in an occupation paying at least 2x, 1.5x or 1.3x the average median wage), or a qualifying job offer in one of those high-wage occupations (100, 70 or 50 points). A job offer outside the high-wage list earns no CRS points, and an LMIA is no longer required. IRCC is recalculating every profile, which could take up to two weeks, and has paused invitation rounds until that is done. This calculator applies the new rules. Labour market integration (from 3 November 2026)

From 3 November 2026, Canadian work experience and job offers score together in one factor (max 150, or 140 with an accompanying spouse). You get the higher of two routes, never both: your Canadian work-length points plus a high-wage bonus (70 / 40 / 20 points), or a qualifying job offer in a high-wage occupation (100 / 70 / 50 points). Levels are β‰₯ 2Γ—, β‰₯ 1.5Γ— and β‰₯ 1.3Γ— the average median wage. Leave a box empty if it doesn't apply.

Needs at least 12 months (1,560 hours) of qualifying Canadian experience in high-wage occupations, and at least 1 year of Canadian work above. Months across several high-wage jobs combine: enter a NOC at the highest level where your months at that level or above add up to 12.

The offer must be valid under Express Entry. An LMIA is no longer required and adds no points. Until IRCC updates its profile form, it asks candidates to answer "positive LMIA issued: Yes" with LMIA number 00000 (issued 2026-01-01, expires 2029-01-01) β€” see IRCC's instructions.

Occupation levels from IRCC's high-wage occupations list (effective 2026-11-03). The level in force on the day you are invited to apply is the one that counts.

Additional factors

This is an estimate for planning only. Your official CRS score is calculated by IRCC from the profile you submit; some factors (e.g. exact experience dates, credential assessments) are validated there.
